I guess I don't have many followers left here on dA, I haven't logged in in months and my camera is only used for snapshots and vacation photos. My back is not much better, the fracture is healed of course, but since I have fibromyalgia my muscles around the fracture are not behaving nicely and it makes my life even more hell than it was before the accident. Pain killers are unavoidable and that is a creativity killer.

I have some outlets for my creativity that don't include me crawling around with a camera to get to the right angle I have years and years of cat photos to make scrapbooks from (all the cats are better than fine, spoiled brats...), a huge project in it self. I also make scrapbooks from vacation photos and other odds and ends, and a recipe book + cards. I also made all the invitations to my wedding (got married 2 months ago!) and I sell some cards to friends that want something special.
I still make jewelry from time to time (usually when I need something myself to match something I want to wear), sew a bit, do cross stitch projects (mostly Christmas related) and make 90% of all Christmas presents myself. I can do about a gazillon types of crafts if I have the energy and the low pain level.

And there is the writing. I haven't stopped writing. May have taken a bit of a break this summer, I have been feeling a bit down and haven't had much to say. 2009 was the worst year ever, starting with a broken spine and ending with a fire that made our house inhabitable one cat missing (got him back after 3 weeks and then almost lost him again to liver problems) and me badly burned and in the hospital, 2010 hasn't been that much better with lots of problems getting back in our house and my father dying of cancer the day after our wedding. It's hard to keep your spirits up when everything gets slapped in your face at once.
I've started one new project this summer though, something I've been thinking about for a long time, a page about Norway. Many ask me questions about Norway and Norwegians, and now my answers are collected in one place. You can find it here:

Other than that it's not much going on really. I prefer it that way, there has been too many happenings. My brain needs a break, and maybe one day I can come back to dA with new pictures and better health. Until then; I hope you are having a blast here and that the creativity is flowing

So yesterday I had to go to the doctor. Two friends started threatening to come get me and put me in the hospital, and my friend in Australia was about to do something I don't even want to know was. So I called my doctors office, got an appointment even though there was not time for it, and spent an hour on a bed there. When my doc finally had time for me he looked really concerned when I told him about my pain. We agreed on what pills to give me, but now I'm way too drugged. Seriously, I can't walk straight, it's like I'm riding on a carousel all by myself, I can't concentrate, I talk funny and I feel like I'm about to fall asleep all the time. English is my second language, and if I turn off the correction thingy I would not make any sense at all

But I've uploaded a deviation now! First time since before I broke my spine. I hope you like it, and that someone gives me a serious critique, because I just got a subscription just to have that option

Early in February I managed to fall down some stone stairs in a mall in Hamar (Norway). I broke my spine in one place, and beat the hell out of my tail bone. Since then I've been on morphine and I've felt very stupid. Like DUMB ASS stupid, because the drugs made me so. So I've kept away from dA, no need for me to be here and bother you with bad English and airhead comments when I can't even remember where U is in the alphabet.

Being stupid and very much ready to do something I refused to cancel the trip we had planned and paid to go to Hurghada in Egypt. The trip down there was a total nightmare, sitting in a plane for 6 hours was not what the doctor had ordered for me, but when we got down there, to the lovely weather I had a great time. We did not make any trips outside the city, and have to go back to Egypt to see the pyramids and such another year.

I'll try getting trough my 1,046 Deviations, 1,146 Messages, 11 Notes soon, but no promises.
